

| Local Salon celebrates with sleek new look... Scissors Ferndown invests to impress Thursday 1st October 2009 the Scissors Salon in Ferndown will unveil its brand new look with a large airy, sophisticated salon space best suited to the beautiful, high quality hairdressing on offer. Franchisee, Carolyn Thorpe, is excited about leading her team on to new heights and says "We are so proud that we can show our loyal clients how much we appreciate their support by investing in a beautiful new environment. I feel really confident that our eye-catching design and great local reputation will put us on the map for a host of new clients too." Carolyn has been a Scissors franchisee for the last 8 years and knows just how to create the type of welcoming atmosphere every client enjoys. The simple white and silvery grey palette will be accented with vibrant red and include modern black luxury salon chairs creating a super clean and spacious interior. Every detail from air conditioning to lighting, from backwashes to mirrors has been considered with the clients comfort and experience in mind. Carolyn is a gifted professional who trains her own team continuously to the highest technical standards; she is also a qualified assessor for NVQ Level 3 and frequently contributes her talents to photographic shoots and shows with the Scissors Art Team. Manager Louise Allen says, "we are a busy salon with a good sized team and everyone has pulled together to ensure that the impact of the refurbishment on our clients is kept to an absolute minimum. We can’t wait to reveal our new look." Local contractors including Ashmore Project Management (07800 544483) & IMB Contracts Ltd worked on the refurbishment of the salon. "I feel it is so important that members of our tight knit community support each in these times of economic difficulty," explains Carolyn. The contractors also fitted a brand new disabled backwash facility. The 12 stylists and 1 dedicated technician are supported by a team of juniors and together offer a truly first class service to their clients. On the evening of Thursday 1st October 2009 the salon will be throwing open its doors to offer clients and press a sneak preview of the Scissors transformation with a champagne celebration. |
